While in Rwanda, Pastor Tommy had the opportunity to meet several pastors ministering to the people in that country. One of the pastors he met shared that his oldest son (15 years old) had gotten ill and passed away. It became apparent that this young man had contracted Malaria, and because the pastor could not afford the $10 annual health insurance premium, his son was not able to receive treatment.
Mercy Hill Church has determined that we will do everything we can to make sure that this does not happen again, and so we have established the "Rwandan Pastors' Health Fund". These funds will go toward providing health insurance and education for the families of Rwandan pastors and the ministers of Solace Ministries that have a need.
